Knightcote club hosted their Open Day on Sunday 9th June

Part of the lakeside that was home to the Swindon delegates.

The Knightcote club hosted their Open Day on Sunday 9th June. Seven members from Swindon arrived, some more easily than others but we all got there in the end.

The weather was kind and the hosts were friendly. Free sailing was the order of the day with divisions of 'Fast' and 'Slow' boats. In between there was a competition for the Chairman's Challenge won by ---- John Brown of Swindon for the most consistent laps of the lake. The P.A. announced that it was John Brown from Glasgow sailing Swindon.

During the Lunch break there was a demo of some very quick, small electric boats which also doubled-up as submarines at times. Without any apparent loss of speed.

Our display caused a good deal of interest. Dolly and Choupette attracted a lot of attention.

A good day out in excellent company. The bacon rolls will be a hard act to follow.
