3rd December. Club Skittles & Presentation Evening (Stratton Bowls Club)

Our Skittles Evening was well attended. The men beat the women on the first round of Skittles and the ladies won the second round.

Plenty of trophies were handed out were handed out by our Chairman and Secretary.

We held a raffle, with the proceeds covering the cost of hiring the hall.

Thank you to everyone who helped out on the night and to the two barmen.

28th - 29th August. Uffington White Horse Show

This show was very enjoyable and there was a lot to see, including a horse display team, classic cars, birds of prey display and stationary engines. 

Our members put on a good show on both days. On the second day there were several fly pasts of a Lancaster Bomber.

13th - 14th August. Swindon & Cricklade Railway Past & Present Family Festival

Our members put on a good show on both days, with interest shown from the public. Brian also gave his Paw Patrol Boat it’s maiden voyage.

8th August. Tidy up at Coate Water Country Park.

Volunteers from our Club and the Swindon Canoe Club joined forces to tidy up the harbour area at Coate Water. 

16th - 17th July. Ducklington Show.

We were blessed with sunshine on both days and had a good view of the planes circling round from the Fairford Airshow.

There was a good selection of stationary engines, models, Traction Engines, tractors, classic cars and a fun fair.

11th - 12th June. Rainscombe Country Show.

We were blessed with sunshine on both days and were located in an ideal spot next to the main entrance, ensuring a steady stream of visitors.  

The show was set in lovely scenic surroundings in a valley with hills either side and there was a good selection of stationary engines, model Tanks, tractor 

ploughing and a fun fair.  Two members climbed the hill and took pictures of the scenic surroundings.

4th - 5th June. Trout Inn at Lechlade.

We had a good attendance on both days but unfortunately the weather was colder than at our last event. We put on a good display of models over both days.

8th May. Open Day at Coate Water Country Park.

We were blessed with glorious sunshine for the whole day and there was a large amount of interest from the public in our joint display with the Cwmbran

Model Boat Club, who we had invited to celebrate our 90th anniversary.

There was a large variety of high speed, scale and yachts on display and we were treated to cakes.

1st May. Lambourn Spring Country Show.

There was a good turnout from our members considering the wet weather we encountered for a lot of the day. 

However it did stop and we all had an enjoyable day. Thanks to Linda & Ros who kindly brought along cakes and chocolate. Also thanks to those who helped to 

set up the site and to the organisers for inviting us. A most enjoyable day.

2nd April. South West Ship Show Bristol.

We enjoyed a lovely day at the South West Ship Show in Bristol. We put on a good display of models and chatted with members of several different clubs

1st March. Winter Projects Exhibition.

We enjoyed a good display of new and ongoing projects at our Annual Winter Projects Exhibition. This included a 6ft Model Steam Boat based on the John H

Amos, to 3D printing, submarines and model engines.  Thank you to the Coleview Community Centre for letting us use their large room.
